If all had gone according to plan the LM fund would be sat at £26,786.00 today. Alas, it's a little short of that particular goal but the good news is that the return over the last 12 months is positive.

Here's a chart showing the total amount paid in vs the value of the portfolio since I started taking weekly screenshots of my account. The 'value' of the fund is usually taken on a Saturday, when the markets are closed:

It's strange to see on some days that the FTSE 100 will be up yet my portfolio value is down, despite the fact that I hold mainly shares. In fact, it was looking far more positive earlier in the week and then there was a downturn on Thursday. Friday and Monday the markets were closed due to Easter.

All in all, the return over the last tax year is positive. And there is still a little bit of bonus to come which will plump up the portfolio slightly.

However, the fund is about £6k shy of the target for the 20/21 tax year. In order to get back on track to the 18% yearly growth we need to get to a seven figure fund valuation by 2039, the portfolio will need to be worth £37.5k at the end of the 21/22 tax year.

We'll carry on paying into the LISA and buying and selling positions as the rules dictate. You never know, the target could be hit by next year if the markets continue to grow.

You've got to be in it to win it and we're almost fully invested at present so it isn't completely out of the question, just unlikely.
